Review: The Book of Dead Days

I had been tempted to buy Dark Flight Down by Marcus Sedwick because it seemed really interesting. However, I found out that it was a sequel . . .and I hate reading sequels first so I bought the prequel first. I was so happy when I saw this book for sale (Sedwick's books aren't that popular in my place).

I had the opportunity to read it before Christmas (It was almost the same time as the setting of the book).

Now that I've read it . . . .I love it but I have to admit that . . . I was pretty disappointed.

The Book of Dead Days
by Marcus Sedgwick
The days between Christmas and New Year's Eve are dead days, when spirits roam and magic shifts just beneath the surface of our lives.
A lot can happen in the dead days.
Set in a dark, dangerous city and in the frozen countryside of a distant time and place, The Book of Dead Days conjures a spell-binding story of power, corruption and desperate magic.
=== What I Did Not Like:
  • I was hoping there's more to the "dead days" in the story than it appears; like there's some legend or myth behind it or something. But from this book those days are just one of the character's last days. I don't see the point of making it seem universally depressing.
  • I don't like it that many parts of the story are just mentioned by the characters. I mean, instead of making a certain character narrate those past events to another character, why not let the narrator do that job? They had been wasting time in just filling the other character on what's going on. It doesn't feel that natural either, especially with the danger that they're encountering.
  • Mystery is cool, but making SO MANY parts a mystery until the end seriously sucks. Things appear and happen, then SNAP! That's it. To be specific, an example would be the murders, the phantom, and the evil that the magician had made a pact with. We just know they're there and had happened, but we don't get to see any explanation on what they really are and why such things happened in the story in the first place! The promise of a sequel can make up for it, but missing so many details on purpose really sucks.
  • Maybe it's just me but I think it lacks in development on character relationships. I don't feel the bond between the pairs here . . . or at least not much. Character development is okay, but they kinda lack in background. It's too sad that we only know too little of the main character's past even until the end.
  • This book had good drama but the moment gets ruined too quickly or it turns out to be some joke in the end. That gave me headaches.
=== What I Liked:
  • Its three main characters have been interesting. I'm pleased with the leading girl the most. For a dark tale, we have a clever and useful girl for a main character, not some emo or a damsel-in-distress. I also like it that she had managed to have a huge role in the plot, and had greatly affected the behavior of the other main characters.
  • I really love the plot twists in this book. I love it when it keeps on turning out to be different from what I expect the events will turn out to be. I like being tricked in this manner. Haha!
  • I don't feel the macabre in this book, but it does have horror alright. To be specific, more on the "depressing" and "decaying" type of horror because our main characters keep on facing misfortunes and end up in places full of foul smell of death.
=== Fangurling:
  • I like Boy and Willow, individually and as a couple. I think Boy is goodlooking because some waitress called him "gorgeous". Haha! And I like girls like Willow, who doesn't let herself stay ignorant. I like the mutuality of Boy and Willow's relationship for they help each other out, not one only depends on the other. How they became close seemed pretty fast, but I love it that they act like a couple already even if they're not official yet (he always hugs her in their every reunion! Squeee~)
=== Overall Thoughts:
This book had so much potential and the story is actually very good and interesting. However, it lacks so much background and explanation. I also highly wish that it was narrated a little differently. In short, it's pretty good, but it really could have been better!

I honestly can't believe that this one had more than a couple awards, when the other book I've read by the same author (The Foreshadowing) had been more impressive than this one. Nevertheless, this has been a good read. I finished it as soon as I can. Hehe.

=== Next Book Initial Thoughts:
I am hoping that the sequel, the one that originally attracted me, will make up for whatever this book lacked. Besides, I want more Boy x Willow. Hahaha! I'll be buying this as soon as I can~

=== Verdict:
Rating: C (OKAY! Not that great but isn't bad either!)
Favoritism: 3 out of 5 Hearts ---> LIKE

Axis Powers Hetalia - Episode 48

Hetalia episodes are usually out around 4 pm in my timezone. I onl;y managed to get a computer with internet yesterday at around 9 in the evening . . . sadly the episode still wasn't out. So the next opportunity I got to see this lovely thing is the next day, after noon. Unfortunately I have this time limit, so I'll focus on one part for now:

You seriously think that this episode is only to delight US/UK fans? Hell no.
It was one big joke. Even non-fans may be amused with it. But even the fans would still like it.
I expected it, but oh yes the anime did that strip so well~ Their voice actors are so terrific in showing that emotion!
Anyway, aside from the scene with the popular Allied Forces duo, our main characters had their cute portions in it as well~ They had been so cute and hilarious~ Each had cultural/historical references even.
Moreover, you think Hetalia's nothing but gay? Please, just look at the obvious hetero pairing in this episode. They look so lovely~
Also, perhaps this is the last sort-of-Chibitalia-related episode? Because Chibitalia is Chibitalia no more. End of young Italy flashbacks? I love how the anime did this part. I think only the last part was in the manga while the rest is orginal. I LOVE ORIGINAL SCENES!!! I LOVE YOU HETALIA ANIME!!!!

Okay, a few minutes left. I want to have the other parts of the episode posted but . . . ah well, I have to prioritize top favorite character/duo:

Someone is in a VERY VERY VERY bad condition:

It's painful to look at him like that. *teary*

Someone RUNS to his side:

Alfred: Arthur! Is it true that you've been fatally wounded? Was it Ludwig?
Arthur: N-no... I made a new weapon, the panjandrum. But a drunk Scotsman...
Of all nation-tans that would RUSH to Arthur's side when something so fatal happened to him, it's ONLY Alfred who came. Come on, how could that not mean something? Ohohohoho~

Alfred: That's horrible! Please hang on! You can't die! You still have to pay the loans that...
Arthur: Alfred....
Alfred: Ah?
Yes, his reason for not wanting Arthur to die may be the Hetalia joke that he has loans to pay (if I remember correctly, England had a lot of loans to America during the World War . . . and even not paid until now?). But come on, THERE ARE TEARS. Alfred may be an idiot but he's not drama actor. He is VERY VERY SAD. Ohohohoho~

Arthur: I know we always fought but *tries to catch breathe* I never hated you...*tries to breathe* . . . Because . . .I . . . *death god closes his mouth*
Him having a hard time to speak like that . . . .IT WAS DIFFICULT TO WATCH!!!!
And this shinigami not letting him finish what he wanted to say . . . THAT WAS SO FRUSTRATING!!!! GAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!

Alfred: A-arthur...?
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Just look at that face!!!!
THE MANLY TEARS ARE STILL THERE!!!!!
His sad look is like a baby boy who lost something/someone so dear to him.

Ah well, Hetalia's not Hetalia without adding some joke. He was checking if Arthur really went bye bye. Yeah, drama moment ended.

Alfred: YAY! Arthur finally croaked!
A jerk is still a jerk. Hahahahah!!!!
But you know, if you're familiar with the strip about his birthday, he also did something similar. He pretended to be celebrating about something but in reality he was just joking.
THIS WAS NOT DIFFERENT:

Alfred: *pats death god* Let's drink and celebrate
Shinigami: *nods*
Arthur: Eeehhh?
Alfred: See? Told you that it would wake him up.
Shinigami: *nods*
The shinigami's WTF expression . . . bwahahahaha
Of course he's shocked that Alfred's suddenly so jolly after all that drama~
Of course it's shocking because IT CAN'T BE TRUE.
And IT REALLY IS NOT TRUE.
What Alfred said in the end implies that he only said that to revive Arthur.
He wants Arthur back asap. And since he's one of the people who know Arthur best, he knows how. But Hetalia being Hetalia, this was shown in a comedic way.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
I knew you love your daddy, Alfred dearest~
Alfred's an actor when it comes to pretending to be happy. But I believe he's no actor when it comes to pretending to be sad.
THOSE TEARS WERE REAL.
Mwahahahahahahahahah!
Okay, that's it for my fangurling on my favorite duo. Oh I want to talk about those cute moments between Feliciano and Ludwig (oh Italians! And daaaw Germans~). I always fall in love with Roderich when he plays the piano~ And my goddess Elizaveta watching him play it make me not want to stop staring at them, for they look so incredibly lovely~ And that revelation of a grown teen in girl's clothes . . . bwahahahahaha! Oh Roderich was like a shocked father while Elizaveta had been like a proud mother. Hahahaha!!!
The cultural/historical references had been so interesting in this episode as well~ And I love Chopin music~ Yay!
I love this episode~ Damn, I can't rewatch it as much as I want until next week. *despair*

Manga Discoveries - M.E.R.R.Y.C.H.R.I.S.T.M.A.S.E.V.E.R.Y.B.O.D.Y.!

I have been reading a LOT of new titles but haven't been featuring them recently. It's impossible for me to do impressions post on each of them, even the quick style. So I thought of featuring them in this kind of batch instead. The one featured with a picture would be the recommendation for the upcoming holiday, while the next other titles would represent a specific letter (it could be a new manga that I have either liked or disliked) and together they form a particular message (if you still don't get it from the title, I am not sure what your problem is ^^; Hahahahah!). Alright, here goes:

Yoroshiku Master by TSUKUBA Sakura
One day when 17-year-old Sagara Kurumi accidently bumps into a guy on the streets, reins suddenly appear and binds them both! What is this?! Things get even more confusing when the boy, Kaito, clasps her hands and calls her his master! When Kaito transforms into a reindeer it just becomes too much for poor Kurumi who's out as a light. But it does indeed seem like Kurumi's a santa and Kaito's her reindeer and that they've got an important job to do on Christmas Eve~ ^^
The idea has been interesting but how the story went hasn't been near great at all, in my opinion. I mean, oh come on, so many Christmases has passed, yet they don't seem to be getting older?! And why is the season on the chapters often either christmas time or summer time? If we just focus on the main plot, it's better as being just a oneshot or just one volume, not as a series. And I have a lot more to complain on character and character interactions, but I'm lazy to specify.
However, despite those disappointments, I like this manga a lot! The chapters have been cute and sweet~ Those characters that sort of evaluate the santas are interesting~ Most importantly, Kaito and his older brother are love~ Hahahaha! I find this so enjoyable~ I don't really care about the romance (though I admit the romance is pretty cute . . . but well, the leading girl's not my type), just gimme Kaito. Haha! Looking forward to more~

=== M ===
[zion] - KAYASE Shiki
Art is very pretty and main plot seems very very interesting. However, the events confuse me on what exactly's going on. Character's are introduced like POOF! But maybe it's just me . . .
I'll continue reading because I love Kayase Shiki's oneshots in the Arcana Anthology~

=== E ===
Chu-bra!! - NAKATA Yumi
I find it too stupidly fanservicey to have a leading girl who is addicted to underwear and examines her friend's boobs by groping her but still didn't expect her act to be something disturbing to be done inside an unlocked classroom. The hell . .
I just read this because an anime adaptation's coming. No way I'll read more.

=== R ===
Esogaroto - usi
I fell in love with this already when I saw it raw. Nothing much had happened for 2 chapters, but I find stories involving different worlds or something like dimension crossing interesting. Hope it doesn't disappoint. The colored pages would be a waste.
I'll be reading more of this of course.

=== R ===
Hanamaru Kindergarten - Yuto
It's cute and pretty funny . . . I also like the adults in this series. But oh gawd, I am not comfortable with the idea of such young children wanting to seduce a much older guy in such ways. Oh I wish real children won't follow such an example.
I don't like lolis anyway. Not reading more of this.

=== Y ===
Heroman - LEE Stan, BONES and OODA Tamon
As I've expected, it's typical shounen wherein the loser leading guy gets to pilot a giant mecha very well, even if it was his first time, and saved the world. I expected better from Stan Lee and BONES.
I've had enough of typical shounen. Gimme something different.

=== C ===
Hokenshitsu no Shinigami - AIMOTO Shou
I find it odd that this isn't gaining popularity . . or maybe it's because of the art style? But it's really good and interesting. And I just love freaky doctors who handle supernatural cases. And the main kids here hadn't been the annoying typical ones. I'm so impressed with this.
I wish there'll be more of this. Scanlations are too behind sadly . . .

=== H ===
Jio to Ogun to Kinjirareta Mahou - KIRIHATA Ayumi
The raw got me bored. The beginning of the scanlation was so dull it got me bored as well. It was the typical story of a boy wanting to be a great magician and blah blah blah. However, things got interesting in the later half. And the boy has grown up! Finally got me interested~
Ah well, stories with magic will always be something interesting for me. Hehe~

=== R ===
Kaiyorihito Kaiyorishiki - KAZU Aki
It's not the first time I see a manga with a main character who has a great power and many are after him but he has a bodyguard protecting him. Fortunately, he's not really weak even when he's not using THAT power. Story's interesting so far~ But I have to admit what I liked most in this is the mutual sister-brother complex and the relationship of the two leading guys. Haha! Yay for crack!
It was entertaining. Besides, art's so pretty. Wanna read more of this~

=== I ===
Keep Out - HICHIWA Yuka and KISARAGI Hirotaka
Someone recommended this to me when she learned that I could read shounen-ai as long as it doesn't go to . . .a higher level. Haha! Well, the story in this series had been okay. The romance is a little . . .err . . duh . . . but their interactions had been so amusing~ The drama's pretty nice too. I enjoyed it!
Well, I guess I can include this in my very short shounen-ai-that-I-read list.

=== S ===
Ladies versus Butlers - KOUZUKI Tsukasa and NEKOMARU Nekoyashiki
I know this is ecchi from the anime trailers, but I'm still hoping to see some butlers. Unfortunately, the females for perverted fanservice had dominated the series, and the leading guy's one of those losers that would most likely do something great later. Bah! I'm sick of that.
I might've liked this if there are more butlers. Haha! No maidos fanservice for me.

=== T ===
Léquios - IKEGAMI Eiichi and MAESHIMA Shigeki
I loved this when I saw this raw (because of the butterflies! Wheee!) and it had indeed been interesting, even if we don't know much of the story yet. The main cast is an interesting combination though (especially that hott lieutenant). This looks so cool~
I wish there'll be more of this~

=== M ===
Love Sick - MORIE Satoshi
Typical reverse harem shoujo with a leading character that wants some typical revenge and she easily gets along with unsociable bishies because she's the main character. The plot gave me so much headache. The characters haven't been interesting. The twin boys in this series hadn't appeal to me, to the surprise of others (I like twin boys, but the twins here aren't close. Bah!). It's a wannabe of popular shoujo. Ugh.
It sucks. No way I'm giving myself more headahes.

=== A ===
Million Girl - MOMOYUKI Kotori
The game thing in this series got me intrigued. And there was an eyepatch bishie and an evil goddess. I thought it might be interesting. To my disappointment, the game was so lame. It felt stupid, and the gambling game became too shoujo. Ugh. Leading girl's also too pathetic.
Headaches? No thanks.

=== S ===
Mr. Morning - TAKAYAMA Shinobu
It was interesting but . . . I find it a little boring. Perhaps it's bcause I'm not fond of train trivia? Ah well, I liked reading it but it wasn't that . . uumm . . .addicting to me as I expected I would feel for it (with the author's other work, Amatsuki, it had been the opposite. I thought I won't like it much but later I got hooked. Hehe)
Takayama Shinobu's awesome so I should read more. I've seen until the ending and the later parts seem pretyt interesting.

=== E ===
Nightmare of the Funeral March - AKI Arata
This reminded me of Yumenkui Kebun. This one just had nicer art and has more crack characters. Haha! Evil shota's awesome too~ However, I'm not that fond of the stories. It's pretty episodic with a little addition of the main plot, which is soooo vague. Character's have also been introduced so randomly except for the main one. Weh . . .
It's not really bad, but I'm not hooked. Might just read this to waste time. Art's pretty anyway.

=== V ===
Omamori Himari - MATRA Milan
WHY do supernatural ecchi manga love having a loser main character that has a childhood friend who has a crush on him and even wakes him up in the morning, then later he'll encounter this super hott and sexy non-human leading girl who would protect him? And of course, there'll be cleavage shots, panty shots, groping, and the like. Guuuh . . . at least the leading girl here isn't being innocent. She was seducing him for real. But still . . .
Typical ecchi shounen is typical . . . and stupid. But it's not that horrible, it might be okay to read if I want to waste time.

=== E ===
Rain - YOSHINO Takumi and SUMIKAWA Megumi
Fantasy series . . . best friends . . . and a military leading guy who is badass and crack??? The plot seems interesting and the art's so pretty~ I'm in!
Oh I wish to see more of this~

=== R ===
Replica - KARAKARA Kemuri
A wild dude that has very good samurai skills . . . . is being abused by a character with no expression. That's just awesome~ And they actually help each other. It turned out to be more interesting compare to when I saw it raw! Yay!
I really really like it~ I hope to see more soon!!!

=== Y ===
Seikon no Qwaser - YOSHINO Hiroyuki and SATOU Kenetsu
I'm a sucker for titles with biblical references but . . . . oh gawd, is the breastfeeding thing really that necessary? For me, it's jsut like an excuse to insert a little hentai. Guh . . . characters have been annoying to me anyway. I don't like this.
It's too disturbing for me. No way I'll read more . . . no way.

=== B ===
Shinsengumi Jingishou Asagi - YAMAMURA Tatsuya and NINAGAWA Yaeko
I love shinengumi stuff! The raw got me so interested! Unfortunately, when I read it scanlated . . . I find it pretty boring. It's interesting and some characters are fun. I like the bloody stuff but still . . . kinda boring.
Maybe it's just the first chapter. It's boring yet interesting. Now that's weird. But that makes me want to give it another try.

=== O ===
Summer Wars - SADAMOTO Yoshiyuki and SUGIMOTO Ikura
I had high expectations for this because the movie trailer seemed really cool! The art is nice and I find the new technology here interesting (reminds me of some that I've learned in college, particularly on my subjects that involve about future technology). Sadly, the story didn't captivate me as much. It's just so . . . duh. But maybe it's just the first chapter. One of my favorite mangaka liked it, so it has to be aweosme overall! Hahaha!
I shall like whatever Akizuki Sorata liked~

=== D ===
The Four Kuzumoto Siblings - KINOSHITA Satoshi
Typical shounen wherein main characters each have incredible power. Too much of a coincidence that all four siblings have a female counterpart, and seem to be the romantic interest of each. Ugh, where's the character variety? But anyway, it had been enjoyable for me to read. For some reason, even if the characters are pretty stereotypical, the're still likeable (eldest brother's awesome~).
I enjoyed reading this! Oh I'm really a sucker for supernatural shounen, huh?

=== Y ===
The Sleepy Residents of Birdcage Manor - KABEI Yukako and TAKARAI Rihito
Nude modeling? Not often do I encounter manga with that. Anyway, it has mature themes but art is really pretty and the plot's interesting. The painter leading guy's also so hott. Haha! I really liked this~
You don't get to see this type of manga often. Definitely reading more of this~

=== ! ===
Undertaker Riddle - AKAI Higasa
he only cool thing here are the butterflies and the undertaker stuff *was shot* Well, it's the typical contract with the devil-like adventure, with some shounen-ai undertones. It's nowhere near great, but it was fun to read~ Hehe.
I'm not picky with good stories if it got me entertained. Hehe. Of course I'll be reading more of this. The good stuff might come in later chapters.

PHEW! That wraps it up! There are actually more, but I'll save them for next time (those ones will be longer because I got HOOKED to those). So now you see the message? If not, here:
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

YAY! =D
Hope you guys enjoyed what I enjoyed reading. And maybe some of the ones I didn't like might be your type. Opinions differ~

Akagami no Shirayukihime - Chapter 13

I actually saw this almost as soon as it was released but only managed to find the time to fangurl/blog about it today. Ehehehe.
But as usual, it was a very LOVELY chapter~

If it had been obvious to the readers that the vicount was plotting something not nice, our characters have seen that as well. Fortunately they aren't stupid shoujo cast members who can't detect cliches.
Anyway, Zen knows of course that the viscount is up to no good. He let them go, but he made Obi follow later to check up on them.
And when Obi finally reached his destination, the first thing he sees is Shirayuki jumping from the window xD LOLz They even had time to say each other's names before Shirayuki had fallen into the water. Haha!
So Shirayuki told them what happened and Obi and the guys searched for the bell.
At the tower, the guard must've been inspired by Shirayuki's guts that he finally does what he's supposed to do to the viscount for Zen's sake. You think Zen only trusted Shirayuki to do what's proper in that situation? This is the prince who loves and trusts his people. Thank goodness his guards are decent and are loyal to him. ALL HAIL PRINCE ZEN! *worships*

Meanwhile, only 2 minutes before the deadline and that's making people worried that the bird might come.
Ah well, of course we know the test will be successful. But it was awesome on how Zen broke the tension by having that serious look and raising his voice. Hehe.
And finally, Popo came! Just in time! Birdie's officially gonna be used for Clarines' Kingdom's means of communication!
The signatures have been complete. But there was a report together with it. There was one sentence there that got Zen on a bad mood and made him hurry to where the tower is: "The assistant is hurt." Ohohohoho~

When they've arrived, Kiharu goes to Shirayuki to ask if she's okay. While Shirayuki asks her if Popo made it. Zen would obviously want to greet her at once as well but he had to take care of the problem first. (I am sooooo happy that this is not the typical shoujo wherein when the leading guy learns that his crush is hurt then rushes over to her and ask in such panic mode if she's okay when she looks totally fine and only had a little scratch. It keeps on deviating from typical shoujo, I love it~)
I actually expected Zen to start scolding the viscount as soon as he sees the guy BUT HE WAS THE ONE SCOLDED INSTEAD xD Hahaha! I admire the viscount for asking Zen how he could leave Shirayuki like that, as if she's an ordinary girl. He acknowledges that Shirayuki's no ordinary girl. HOW does this series make the bastards from previous chapters become likeable in later chapters? It had been like that with Prince Raji too! It's like magic, so awesome~

The same goes to Izana, I believe. I think he was just playing around with Zen on pissing him off, and being mean to Shirayuki also just to tease Zen. Hahahaha!
In this chapter it appears that he sees that Zen wants to protect Shirayuki the most and is actually even confused on HOW MUCH she means to him. Izana doesn't look like he's seeing that as a problem. It seems more to me that he's pretty concerned of his brother's feelings . . . or to be specific his love life. LOLz~ I KNEW I COULD TRUST YOU IZANA!!!!

Of course, to a guy madly in love, any wound on his beloved, no matter how little, is BIG BUSINESS to him. He wasn't overreacting unfortunately. But funny that he's the one more in pain than her. Hahahahah!
The guard had reported to him what happened, and he remembers what Shirayuki said. He confirms that this woman is so awesome. Typical heroine will jsut go mushy with the leading guy as much as possible but when the time comes that the guy will encounter problems that have to do with their relationship, typical heroine would just call a break-up no matter how much it hurts her and run away and go emo. But Shirayuki? She won't let those problems come in the first place! Her eyes don't only see their love, but also the situation her guy is in. That's true love that also knows how to think. Oh how many times have I been praising Shirayuki already.
Anyway, since Shirayuki is so awesome, YOU THINK ZEN COULD HOLD IT ANY LONGER???? He is so obvious, might as well make it REALLY REALLY OBVIOUS TO HER ALREADY
so . . . .
HE KISSED HER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah well, he did it half consciously. He moves away and apologizes for what happened.
Shirayuki was blushing . . .and not moving from shock/surprise xD Hahaha . . .

Thank goodness Zen didn't do the "run away and pretend or say that nothing happened" kind of thing. He already did it, AND HE LIKES IT . . .AND HE WOULD DEFINITELY WANT ANOTHER ONE . . . but, he's not a rude prince. It's also time for them to leave already anyway. So he just tells her that he'll ask permission next time, and would want to know her answer.
Our dear girl is blushing like crazy and was speechless. I believe she knows she loves him, not the typical "I only saw him as a best friend until now" kind of crap. Okay, fine, that's still possible. But oh come on, she says she doesn't want to bring trouble to Zen dear, right? Their friendship is already causing him problems, what more as a couple?! So perhaps it didn't come across her though anymore because of that.

Ah, anyway, there wasn't a cliffhanger but it still made me hunger for more *ah well, I always do that in every chapter*

Okay, that's it for the story . . . . now for some fun parts:

I'll start with my OTP:

Shirayuki's smile is honestly just simple and cute but that captivates Zen so much that he finally did this:

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It didn't take too many chapters for it to finally happen! It wasn't an accidental kiss or an extremely forceful kiss. The kisser bows for apology but he didn't run away either.
ZEN FINALLY MADE A MOVE TO MAKE THEM CANON ALREADY!!!!!!!!!! xD
KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh I was sooooooooooooo delighted when I saw this~

Okay, let me jump to other characters:

I LOVE OBI:

- His expression when he saw Shirayuki jump was so LOLz
- When Shirayuki him to leave the matter (about the viscount), he asks . . .WHERE? xD Wahahaha . . . he's so literal~
- You think only Zen got worried when he saw Shirayuki's wound? LIKE MASTER LIKE SERVANT!
- It was so funny that he was hoping his master won't get mad at him for letting Shirayuki search for the bell even when injured since she won't be listening to him anyway. I'm happy that he didn't waste time by scolding her since how she'll answer is lready so obvious/predictable anyway. Haha!
- I really love it when Obi is so happy to see his master when Zen arrived, and he had also been looking for his master when he didn't see Zen leaving with Mitsuhide and co.
- Obi is so observant when it comes to his master. He got pretty worried when he saw Zen's expression that is like Zen was about to cry. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAW to the two of you.
- I LOVE IT HOW OBI LOVES BOTH ZEN AND SHIRAYUKI SO MUCH xD

I LOVE THIS PAIR:

When Mitsuhide and Kiki talk about Zen and Shirayuki . . . . I don't see them as Zen's bodyguards . . . . more like Zen's parents or older siblings. Hahahahaha!!!! Zen is our dear baby~

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GUY:

Angry/Serious Zen is so handsome~

Zen that is so freakin' worried like he's about to cry is soooooooooo cute as well~

Oh whatever his expression is is cute~

I'm kinda amused on this part because he easily recovered after blushing on what he did to Shirayuki. Hahahaha!

OH I AM SO HAPPY WITH THIS CHAPTER!!!! HECK, JUST WHEN THE HELL DID THIS SERIES DISAPPOINT ME??? xD

AND THE NEXT CHAPTER LOOKS EVEN BETTER!!!!!!!!!
I'm already spoiled~ Zen is gorgeous as ever~ Shirayuki does the most blushing this time~ Mitsuhide is so like Zen's big bro or best friend~ Obi seems to have a crush on Shirayuki (as in for real), but I think he knows he doesn't stand a chance~ Ryuu shows up a little~ Shirayuki cried~ Zen kneels~ THEY ARE CANON!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can no longer count how many times I've browsed chapter 14 xD
I LOVE YOU K3 FOR THE EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT!!!!!! *hugs of undying love*
I'm so excited to see this scanlated *_*
KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah, before you even think about asking it . . . . I don't know if I'm allowed to redistribute the raw, so don't bother to ask anymore ^^; But well, it's gonna be scanlated anywayz. Get ready for Zen and Shirayuki overload~

The animated film is being described as "a contemporary fairytale based on existing fairytale characters". Here's the plot:
When an evil spirit called Pitch becomes bent upon taking over the world by inspiring fear in the hearts of kids everywhere, a group of our greatest heroes—North (aka Santa), Bunnymund the Easter Bunny, Tooth the Tooth Fairy, Sandy the Sandman and Jack Frost—band together for the first time, determined to stand in Pitch’s way. More than a collection of storybook subjects, “The Guardians” are also a band of superheroes, who possess their own special powers. Now joined in opposition of a common foe, the Guardians heed the call and combine their powers to defeat Pitch and protect the world from his campaign of fear.

The first book has a tentative release date of December 2010. The Guardians movie is set for a November 2, 2012 release (I see some sources that the release would be in November 4, 2011 though, the earlier the better.)

The articles are so emphasizing the news of Leonardo di Caprio making his animation debut in this film . . . but honestly, I don't care much on which celebrities they put in this. As long as the animation looks promising (art on Jack Frost looks great . . . AND NOT TO MENTION HE'S SO CUTE!!! Hehehe . . . but he looks pretty familiar . . .) . . . and hopefully it will be in excellent quality, I believe this will be a great movie! What made me more excited for this movie is because of the plot and cast! I absolutely love fairy tales! I like unique re-imaginations of popular fairy tale characters! And I'm happy that this is described as an animated COMEDY film. Oh I like the combination of fantasy and comedy very much~ I certainly hope this will be able to entertain me as I expect it will~

I'm so watching out for more news related to this~ I also hope a trailer or something will be out soon. And why is its release so far away . . . *sobs* The picture book's coming next year though. I'm pretty tempted to buy it . . . hopefully it won't be that expensive *isn't really the type who buys picture books*
