[ Anime Blurbs ] Autumn 2011 Anime - Part 7

I managed to marathon Ikoku Meiro Croisee last week:
RATING: B (NICE!) FAVORITISM: 4 Hearts (ADORATION)
It was beautiful *_* The anime was way better than the manga. It's sad that we didn't get to see The Grand Magasin in it (perhaps they lacked people to do background animation for it? They can't degrade the quality... setting illustrations in the series had baan magnificent *_*), but I liked all those anime fillers xD

Alrighty, now for my weekly dose of anime xD

Fandom Blurbs 2011 #007 (Arakawa 6, Tiger & Bunny 23, and Some Manga)

[ DRAMA ]
(Arakawa Under The Bridge 6)
(So cute and amusing that live-action Ric showing his "date plan" with him and Nino in anime style, hehe.)
The episode began with Ric being fooled that something bloody serious (literally) has happened. Ah well, just when had this series been that kind of seriousness, haha. Still... Billy seemed out of character for doing that...
This episode was more of Ric x Nino centric... it's their first date episode. Too bad they weren't as bizarre as their animanga counterparts (I was looking forward to Ric and his shoujo manga collection) and Nino didn't wear the dress T_T But at least the "distancing" was still there, and they had more romantic scenes (as expected).
Next episode looks more exciting... looking forward to laugh a lot again xD

[ ANIME ]
(Tiger and Bunny - Episodes 23)
"The pain of friendship"... oh my god, Kotetsu... THAT'S SOOOO LAME!!!! .... AND YOU'RE SO AWESOME FOR THAT!!! HAHA!
How Barnaby got his memories back was so... what's the term for it... it makes you exclaim "that's it?!"... but it works, so I don't care~ And if the slap worked, that's lamer. It's more fun if it worked on something unexpected, even if it's a little predictable, hehe.
The hugs moment was soooo touching. You can see how relieved Kotetsu had been for that. I suppose Bunny's already as important as family to him. Daaw, how sweet.
The future of the city now lies on our duo's hands. The other heroes are helpless.. held as hostages eve, and they have no choice but to wait. Since they're so righteous and they believe in the power of friendship, they won't lose hope.
Cliche, isn't it? But nothing's wrong with cliche if the characters are great and the show's still interesting and enjoyable. Oh we know the duo's gonna win, but how they would win would be really interesting... especially with Kotetsu's situation: 1) daughter' and friends are hostages 2) he can't stay calm for that 3) his powers are going bye bye.

[ MANGA ]
  • Kimi to Boku 18 - Shu-chan's brother's soooo adorable~
  • Perfect Girl Evolution 112 - I have realized that this is more exciting to read if it's a chapter with Kyouhei and Sunako trying to kill each other, LOLz
  • Watashi ni xx Shinasai 28 - It took Mami quite a while to realize her mistake, but at least it didn't take that long (Yukina didn't look like the novelist type). Anywayz, OHMYGODSHIGURE!!! xD His first "command" to Yukina is just... daaaaw~ What simple joy he has... so freakin' huggable~

Autumn/Fall 2011 Anime Series First Impressions

Here I am once again... looking at the new shows next season to find more things to get addicted to, haha. The next season looks really promising *_*

(This image is from an upcoming movie: Hotarubi no Mori E. The manga was enchanting, and Midorikawa Yuki is fantastic. The anime film will certainly be good xD)

There are quite a number of shows in the upcoming season that seem interesting... four of them are those I'm already SURE that I'll be watching (because of manga background, or if I liked the previous adaptation). October's gonna be a very exciting month =3

Kimi to Boku - Chapters 9 & 10

So weird that when everyone's anticipating a huge storm, there's only the usual rain. Not that I'm complaining. I don't want it to come ever! But false alarm still sucks . . .or maybe it just didn't arrive yet. . . *trauma*

Anyway . . . Slice of life + school shows usually bore me to hell, but Kimi to Boku's one of those exceptions~ I freakin' love this series~

It had been so good and hilarious and kyaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! I love all characters and I totally enjoy the little twins fanservice~ I thought the Hitachiin twins were my number one pair, but the Asaba twins are just . . . OMG *cuddles both*

[ CHAPTER 9 ]

In this chapter, Yuuta got a girlfriend! I totally didn't expect for him to accept it. But as expected, they have not exactly fallen in love with each other. He just did her a favor; while she just did it in order to be accepted. Ah well, this is better than the girl having evil intentions. That must've been why Yuuta didn't mind.
I like it that though this series isn't centered on romance, there are actually canon relationships! Even if it wasn't real, it's still canon! This may be a bishie rich series but they're not exactly gay. Oh I hate the assumption of a series having so many pretty boys being depicted as gay (07-Ghost is a huge example. I don't see it as gay until now.)
Back to this chapter, it was so hilarious that the gang was so butt hurt for Yuuta not telling them about his gf. Hahahaha! They are so curious to the point of stalking them . . .and they were easily discovered. The one being followed was the person who had even surprised them. Hahahaha!

My favorite part of course is this:

*insert insane fangurling here*
Yuuki loves to glomp his brother so much~ He puts his weight on his brother so often that it wouldn't be a surprise if Yuuta will indeed get a back ache someday. Haha!
Usually, when siblings don't approve of their sibling's lover, it's usually brothers who hate their sister's lover; or sister's jealous of their brother's lover. But among twins? This is the first I've seen (usually they only don't approve because they like the same girl). Yuuki doesn't allow his brother having a girlfriend~ Talk about possessiveness!!! Hahahahah!!! Reminds me of the younger twin in Atsumare! Gakuen Tengoku. A very very very jealous sibling. Haha!
I also find it adorable that during his dates with his girlfriend, who does Yuuta talk about most often??? He keeps on mentioning about Yuuki! And how much "better" he is. He's so emphasixing on how close they are~
I know it, the most important person to the twins are each other. Ohohohohohohohoho~

[ CHAPTER 10 ]

As for the 10th chapter, it was Kaname centric (Man, he's so hott~). He's the intelligent boy and even part of the student council. He's smart and has so many talents/capabilities that so many people rely on him. And since he's freakin' nice, it's fun to abuse and take advantage of him. Hahaha!
Despite his "perfection", he hangs out with a weird crowd, though they're actually as popular as he is (err . . . except Mr. half-Japanese boy and the girl I guess. Shu and the twins seem popular).
But this chapter shows that Kaname also has limitations, and he also needs people to rely on. Fortunately for him, his friends are such people. They are also the type who makes him happy (reminds me of the chapter when he got sick. They drove him crazy but he had been smiling~).

This chapter also had a lot of hilarious parts, and the funniest one for me had been this page:

If you don't know what's going on, Kaname's line would lead to . . .misudnerstandings~ Haha! Yuuta had said it: "rape fetish". Bwahahahhahahahahha!!!!!!!!!
The haircut part was also amusing! Unlike the Hitachiin twins (of Ouran), they're not really stylists. Poor Shu beign a victim of their haircut experiments. Hahahahaha!
I also find it very funny that Yuuki and Chizuru are photocopying n00bs!!! Like they have no idea about technology at all! It was so hilarious that they're ignorant of such a thing! Hahahahaha!!!!

Oh what fun chapters~ I'm so excited for the later ones~

Catching Up: Kimi to Boku

I've been catching up on several manga before I try out new ones again:

Kimi to Boku (You and I) is a fun slice of life manga by HOTTA Kiichi about four friends who had known each other since kindergarten. Fans or at least have been humored with the likes of Ouran and Hetalia will very likely enjoy this manga~

I've read three chapters of it many many months ago . . . but I could no longer remember much of it so when I've decided to catch-up, I had to browse/review the chapters I've already read and continue the new ones. Now I've read upto the latest scanlations, which is until Volume 2. I've also seen several raws of later volumes. But oh boy I still hunger for more~

I don't know if this series is really episodic or if time moves at all, but it does switch in timelines (like switching from when the main characters are in high school to when they were in kindergarten. There's even a switch on main character focus because there's and even a switch on the main cast [ referring to the two friends . . . whose names I suddenly forgot ] and at times it combines both main casts. ) But well, even if it is episodic, it actually has story development . . . just not that obvious/explicit/sudden/whatever. The development in this series (both story and character) isn't seen in a chronological way, but more of seeing what they are right now before seeing what they were in the past. . . then that's the time you see their change. (wait, am I making sense . . . )

For me, the manga had been best on its humor and characters. I can't get tired of the jokes~ They have been really hilarious and the characters made the jokes even funnier~ Here's the main cast so far:

Character descriptions are obviously not the official ones. Haha! I don't like the girl though . . . but I don't hate her. I just wish there's a more awesome female in the cast. Also more than one. But at least this isn't reverse harem!!! I am very very relieved that it's not. I think I love this more than Ouran for that . . .

And of course, my favorite characters are obvious (YES, THE TWINS! THEY'RE FREAKIN EVIL AND ADORABLE!!! DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!!!). I love it best when they're bullying someone . . . .reminds me of how the Hitachiin twins of Ouran bully Tamaki. Haha! They're not as . . . .errr . . . close physically like the Hitachiins though, but there had been times when they do that, like when Yuuki just held on to Yuuta and Yuuta just drags him as they walk. And when they were kids, I can't ever forget about the part when the duo don't feel comfortable on being separated when sleeping. Daaaaaaawww~ That was sooooo sweet~ Oh I'm such a sucker for identical twin bonds~

Oh I can't wait to read more of this~ Ouran is still one of my top favorites but . . . for me, Kimi to Boku had been better~
