[C] - Episode 11 (END)

The last episode was finally out! I was so excited that I watched it as soon as possible~

And for the first time in blogging this series....

[C] - Episode 10

This was so.... WOW.

Yeah, yeah, there are some plot holes, and some things aren't likely to be explained in the last episode. But flaws are ignorable when the good parts in it are over the top!!! xD

Oh this episode just made me more amazed with the series than I already am, and love the characters more than I already do =3

(IKEBUKURO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

OMG, after finding out that Taketazaki is an information broker, I don't think I'm the only one who got reminded of my favorite from the series Durarara!!, Izaya Orihara. Taketazaki may not be a heartrob, nor is he as retarded as Izaya; they're both freakin' twisted and could help out the protagonists if they want to (In Izaya's case though, he's usually the "villain"). They do their jobs very well too and pretty much updated to technology. Izaya's online chatting and Taketazaki's "tweeting".... hahahahahaha! Oh information brokers like these are so much fun~

[C] - Episode 9

I really love it when people point out more of the subtle awesomeness of this series even if it makes me feel stupid for not realizing that it's actually more awesome than I think it is, hahahaha!

Masakaki is the highlight of this episode for me, such a freakin' demon for having fun in watching humans make themselves miserable. Now that's what an actual demon is more like, not just some creature who has horns and resides in a place called "hell".

[C] - Episode 8

The following are some of the common reactions after watching this episode:
  • Amazement: OMG!
  • Curses: WTF! (or "F*ck!") or Sh#t (or "Holy sh#t!")
  • Complains: "Things are happening fast" or "I'm confused" or "My brain hurts" or "[C], why are you not making any sense?"
Mine's like a combination of all those reactions, I suppose:
"OH MY GOD THIS IS CRAZY SH#T AND IT MINDF*CKED ME IN A MATTER OF SECONDS UGH DAMN YOU [C] I FREAKIN' LOVE YOUR AWESOMENESS MWAH"
*ehem* Okay, another version of the summary of my feelings:

"Wow... it blew me away. I love this show!"

In other words, the recent episode was full of surprises, and they happened in a really fast and impactful manner. Yet it didn't fail to impress me, and my love for [C] has not changed.

[C] - Episode 7

First I'd like to share this interesting post~ It tackled about the responsibilities of the super wealthy, simpler elaborations to the difference between Sennoza's and Mikuni's perspectives (living for the future vs living for the present), the positive side of using an average guy like Kimimaro to make the audience learn about the District, and so on~

Now about the episode, we first got a Mikuni flashback, making us learn more about our possible main antagonist. Then the later half enables us to learn Mashu's thoughts on previous and current events. Though the focus of the episode is in developing those two characters, we still learn more about Kimimaro in it as well. They even bothered to bring back a character, who is usually the type you won't see again if this were the usual shounen series.

(Kimimaro has a plushie xD)

I'm so pleased that this series is more focused on character and story development, and also in exploring its story ideas and concepts, rather than on battle scenes~ Speaking of which, there aren't any Deals in this episode at all! xD

[C] - Episode 6

I know this show's genius. xD You could already see a few of what the staff has researched from the opening theme alone. What I totally didn't expect though, is that the same goes for the ending theme. The colors and the character designs are actually MORE than what they seem O_O

Amazing... amazing...

And the episodes that air each week get more and more exciting~ (No, it's not because of the bloody stuff, silly~ Haha! There are many other things to fangurl about in this episode~)

[C] Episode 6 - Fangurling

I couldn't make a general-episode-only post again for this week's episode because, this time, I just had so many to fangurl about xD Hahahaha!
Mashu's so pretty~ Putting aside her non-human physical traits, her design is very simple... yet she looks very pretty. She doesn't need fancy clothes or big boobs to look gorgeous, she's fine the way she is~

[C] - Episode 5

I saw a blogger mentioning that this series doesn't really have "The Money of Soul and Possibility Control"; rather, it's only "The Money of Soul and Possibility". Come to think of it, this series is sometimes called as "Control", if not plain "C". That makes C = Control (though C could also stand for other words like Convesion, etc., but the main word the series is referring to is "Control"). Besides, the "Control" part was indeed separated from the subtitle. Moreover, if we shall follow the grammar rules of parallelism, if "Control" is indeed part of the subtitle, wouldn't it be more appropriate to phrase it as "The Money of Soul and the Control (or Controlling) of Possibility"? Removing the idea of "Possbility Control" gives a different meaning to the subtitle now. Whoa.... titles could be pretty crucial.

By the way, the first volume of the DVD and Blu-ray of this series will be out on August 19~ For more information and also about the releases of the other volumes, you can just check out their website. I'm pretty sure the main characters get the first volume, then Mikuni and Q would be in one of them. I don't know about the other two anymore, haha.

Alright, now about the latest episode:

It appears that this is the episode with the most fights so far. Not only Kimimaro and Mikuni, but the other Guild members were pretty awesome too. Especially the dude with hearts on his shirt! He was soooo amusing to watch xD Oh I look forward to see how the glasses guy and the information broker do their battles~

[C] - Episode 5 (They're Not What They Seem - Kimimaro and Mikuni Centric)

This is supposed to be an episode (in general) post. But it appears that I had too many to say on Kimimaro and Mikuni alone that I'll have to separate my posts about the fifth episode, haha!

There are more parallelisms between the two, yet more differences are getting revealed. Their relationship isn't exactly as what it appears. They don't seem as they appear either. If Mikuni shall indeed be the main antagonist in the series, what an interesting pair of main protagonist and antagonist we have here~

[C] The Money of Soul and Possibility Control - Episode 4

At first I thought the battle scenes felt too quick, and then I've realized that I almost forgot that [C] ISN'T a typical shounen series, haha! It doesn't waste time on making flashy fights longer but focused on going deeper to its story and making some plot development.

(Entres coughing "money" instead of "blood" was really WICKED xD)

[C] gets more and more amazing in each episode, and each had been spectacular in their own way. Episode 3 introduced some mysteries behind the Financial District; while Episode 4 shows what the characters, who have the capability, are doing about it. We learn more about the leading character's past and personality in the previous episode; now we see him in a dilemma and finally make a decision on what he wants to do during the Deals.

[C] Money of Soul and Possibility Control - Episode 3

The information broker may not be as hott (maybe not as manipulative either) as my Izaya from Durarara!!, but he's certainly as twisted~ It's also amusing when he fails in capturing the photographs that he wanted to take, haha!

Spring 2011 Anime Second Impressions

I wasn't really able to make a first impressions post before a new season airs (unlike before), except for my most anticipated top three. But after watching most of the new shows that aired this season, I can't help myself from being "typative", hehe.

Fireball Charming had a wonderful animation but its first episode didn't feel like... an episode, haha! More like a random promo video or an advertisement, ehehe. I'm not even familiar with the original version...

But anywayz, here goes my list for the rest of the titles this Spring 2011. The rankings are not as a whole, but by category. Of course, they're subject to change. Though I doubt that for now... especially on those at the bottom.....

[C] - Episode 2

No, the animation in this episode doesn't really get better. Neither had there been more references and lectures concerning Economics, as expected.

(YESSSS!!! THERE'S VIOLENCE AND BLOODSHED!!!! Looks like this series will be "dark" despite the colorful setting~ I like that~)

But overall this episode had been so fantastic. Lil' flaws here and there aren't much of a big deal to me.

[C] - Episode 2 (Entrepreneur Meets Asset - Kimimaro & Mashu Centric)

Mashu's behavior in this episode is soooooooooooo different from what the promo videos and the quick scene of the first episode had been implying on what she's gonna be like.
She had been so cool~ I looooooooooooooove her and her interactions with Kimimaro!
Once Kimimaro learns to fight, I believe they'll make a great team~

[C] - Episode 1

If it's not that obvious yet, hehe, C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control aka [C] was the anime series I had been looking forward to the most this season. I was very hyped on it so I'm glad that the first episode turned out to be more fun and impressive than I expected~

Deadman Wonderland and Ao no Exorcist were the two other anime series I had been extremely excited about, but I already have manga background on those, unlike with [C]. So I think it'd be more fun for me to tune in to [C] anime more because I wouldn't know what to expect from its episodes. Everything shall be new to me~

I love shows that introduce/present something new or that stand out by being as unique and as creative as possible.

[C] - Episode 1 (It's Not Really An "Economics Anime")

With the monster card battles in [C] being undeniably very similar to Yu-Gi-Oh!'s, [C]'s "uniqueness" has become questionable because it seemed so much like a card game rip-off.

Even as a [C] fan, I have to agree that no matter how you look at it, [C] is like an imitation of those popular card game series. However, considering [C] as merely a card game series rip-off is underestimating [C] too much, in my opinion. I firmly believe, that even based on the first episode alone, [C] isn't just a card game series copycat, and is even MORE than a card game series.

I'm a fan of Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! too... but I don't think they're just shallow kid's card game shows either. What more of [C], which has no plans on becoming a freakin' long episodic series? And even promises to tackle the one thing that affects our lives greatly but anime seldom focuses on, which is none other than MONEY.

C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control (Just a Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon Ripoff?)

Because the battle featured in the first episode of [C] happened to involve monsters and cards, people can't help seeing it being very similar to other card game series like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!

Is [C] really just some Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! wannabe?
Or is it just "A Card Game Series for Grown-ups"?

But before that....
Are Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and [C] merely card games in the first place?

C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control - Ep. 1 (The "Bland" Leading Character - Kimimaro Centric)

Kimimaro Yoga is just an average ordinary guy. He doesn't have extraordinary or supernatural abilities. He's none of the extremes: not mysterious/intriguing/enigmatic, not hyper/cheerful, not powerful/invincible, not genius/gifted, etc. He's not even strange or weird. He's not some bad boy nor a fighter for justice.

There's nothing really striking about him... he's so plain that it's so easy to ignore him. He's not exactly interesting enough that he would catch your eye after a quick glance at him.

He's what people would consider as a bland character.

BUT.... his simplicity is what makes him so INCREDIBLE!

I firmly believe that he's already one of the most impressive leading characters in the anime world.

C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control (Opening Theme References)

I love symbolical opening themes wherein each screen/visual/image could be a reference of something in the real world xD C's OP theme sure showcased a lot of economics related stuff =3

I did something like this last time, particularly on the references in Occult Academy's opening theme. I'm also having fun on researching for this one xD

But to be honest, I'm more familiar with the occult than with economics, haha! Yeah, this isn't my expertise either so please bear with me ^^; (I'd appreciate help and corrections from those who know more about the subject matter~)
